5 Signs That You Need (RE)Branding.

Do you or do you not need a re brand?

As a service provider it is important to always check for signs to see if you need  re branding.

Like me at some point you may have a logo and a website, but every time you look at it… you cringe.

This could be very frustrating since you probably invested a lot of time and money into this brand, but let’s face it – your business is always changing and your brand will too.

If  like me you’ve been feeling the shift in your business and just need a little nudge, this blog is about signs to look out for when it’s time to re brand.

A shift in the direction of your business

Recently I began feeling a shift in my business objectives. It led to me desiring a different approach entirely. Are you changing the way you market to your client? Are you changing your business name? Is your messaging shifting a little bit? If you’re shifting the direction of your business it’s time for a re brand.

Even if not much is changing in your business, having a brand that properly encompasses EVERYTHING that your brand is, is so important.

Current brand longer reflects your vision

Recently I felt like my brand doesn’t really reflect my vision, which by the way has multi dimensions. Did you get a new brand over 4 -7 years ago? Has your messaging changed? How much have you grown since your last brand or re brand?

To me, this should be the number 1 reason it’s time for a re brand because if it doesn’t reflect your vision, it’s definitely not going to reflect your ideal client’s vision.

You are reluctant to hand out your business cards or website

Do you dislike your brand so much you don’t show people? Is this holding you back from networking?

When you’re first starting your business, networking and getting your name out there is the number 1 way to get business. Going out for a drink with friends? Bring your business cards. Heading out on a weekend getaway? Bring you business cards. Going to the gym? Bring the cards.

YOU are the backbone of your brand and if you can’t go out and push for business, then why should anyone hire you?

You are not attracting your ideal client

Do you seem to attract a certain type of business? Are you not super excited about the clients you’re getting? Do you wonder how you even attract those types of businesses?

If you are constantly not attracting your ideal client, it’s time for a re brand. Your brand should reflect exactly the type of business you are and the type of businesses you want to work with. I believe this sign goes along very well with sign #2, because if there is some sort of misconnection, you’re going to feel it and you’re customers are going to feel it.

Finally should i Re brand  or not?

Your business should be something you’re so so proud of and can show off to the world, but if you don’t love it, who will?

Your brand is the “face” of your business (besides you). It reflects who you are, what you do, the types of clients you work with, your impact in the universe and it should be something you want to flaunt all over the place.

I hope this helps you in making the decision to re brand or not, and if you’re interested in re branding your business send me an email & we can design a beautiful new brand that reflects EXACTLY who you are and the clients you want to attract!

  1. Very interesting and inspiring article. It is definitely a good idea to evaluate once in a while if your current brand still represents your vision. Since we evolve continuously, I can easily imagine a shift happening that requires some changes to the website etc.

  2. Thank you Leila. At first when I read the title, I thought, uhhhhh ohhhhh. Is it time to rebrand myself and my business? After reading this, I realized no I don’t need to rebrand, but I need to clarify better. Thank you for sharing this.

    1. Thank you for reading Laura. Brand Clarity is key if we must make a difference.
I have a mini ebook I am putting out soon on how to get brand clarity at every point.😊😊😊

  3. I hear your message loud and clear, Leila. When I started out, it was with a focus on stress management and metaphysical techniques but the clients I got wanted help with their careers which was at the time a secondary service. In a way I rebranded in terms of wording and focus and a new direction.

  4. This article is packed with lots of helpful information, Leila! Taking a step back and looking at our brand is important to do from time to time. Thanks for the reminder!

  5. Some excellent pointers here Leila. I love handing out my cards and sharing my website..which means I’m on the right track look wise….But yes in terms of content…I think I need to push it up a notch.
